Habitat is a bed&breakfast in the historic centre of Catania – just a few steps from the Bellini Opera Theatre. Once a factory built at the end of the 19th century and dedicated to the cultivation and processing of blue fish, the building is placed next to the medieval city walls and the old bastion of San Giuliano, recognizable for the typical steep structure.
The concept of Habitat seeks the reconversion of urban spaces typical of the Mediterranean and of the ancient courts of Arabic origin, through a process of wise architectural restoration and always keeping alive the historical memory of the places. The renewed facilities are thus placed within their cultural and historical context of belonging.
Habitat is a place where history, architecture and design combine cleverly with a new concept of hospitality which is original and contemporary.
